Akasagarbha Statue, Boundless Wisdom Bodhisattva. (Handmade, UV-Resin)

Handmade 3D-printed statue of Akasagarbha, One of The 8 Great Mahayana Bodhisattvas, (Kokuzo Bosatsu in Japan). Dimensions of the statue: Width: 6.25 inches, Height: 9.25 inches, Depth: 4.5 inches.

The Akasagarbha Sutra states: "By constantly reciting this deity's name, one's wishes for wisdom, love and respect of all, a wonderful singing voice, the position of a king, appointment as a high ranking official, all manner of wealth and riches, a perfect spouse, or fame throughout the world after performing virtuous deeds will all be fulfilled." Akasagarbha grants supreme wisdom, removal of karmic obstacles and unlimited good fortune. His good fortune is boundless as space, he can be considered as a wealth deity. The bodhisattva helps to promote intellectual growth, memory and to purify transgressions. He is a zodiac guardian for those who born in the year of the Ox and Tiger.

Each statue is made by 3D printing process of UV-cured non-brittle expensive resin. The whole process of 3D-printing can take up to 16 hours. Then it's painted in black primer with a silver/gold metallic compound imitating the look of an antique silver/gold statue and coated with protective lacquer. For the Black option, the statue is finished in black primer without silver or gold metallic wax. 3D printed models may have high level of intricate details and geometry that's impossible to achieve in mass production processes.
