Varaha is renowned as the courageous and ferocious avatar of Vishnu. Lord Varaha signifies the restoration of the Earth from a pralaya (deluge) and the formation of a new kalpa (cosmic cycle). When a demon Hiranyaksha dragged the Earth to the bottom of the cosmic ocean, Vishnu took the form of a boar in order to rescue it. They fought for a thousand years. Then Varaha slew the demon and raised the Earth out of the water with his tusks. The purpose of the Varaha avatar was to save the Earth. Brahma addressed him as 'Vidya guru. ' He who worships Lord Varaha, therefore, will gain jnana and achieve moksha.

Each statue is made by 3D printing process of UV-cured non-brittle expensive resin. The whole process of 3D-printing usually takes up to 16 hours. Then it's painted in black primer with a silver/gold metallic compound imitating the look of an antique silver/gold statue and coated with protective lacquer. For the Black option, the statue is finished in black primer without silver or gold metallic wax. 3D printed models may have high level of intricate details and geometry that's impossible to achieve in mass production processes.
