The statue is a version of the Kodanda Rama statue in The Ram Mandir temple. Lord Rama is considered a maryada purushottama or the best of upholders of Dharma. According to Swami Vivekananda, Shri Rama is “the embodiment of truth, of morality, the ideal son, the ideal husband and above all, the ideal king”. He is a popular deity worshiped in many cultures of: India, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, China etc.
Each statue is made by 3D printing process of UV-cured non-brittle expensive resin. The whole process of 3D-printing and painting can take up to 16 hours. Then it's painted in black primer with a silver/gold metallic compound imitating the look of an antique silver/gold statue and coated with protective lacquer. For the Black option, the statue is finished in black primer without silver or gold metallic wax. 3D printed models may have high level of intricate details and geometry that's impossible to achieve in mass production processes.
