In ancient mythology, Unicorn is a horse-like majestic creature with a single large twisted horn (alicorn) on its forehead. Unicorn is a magical mythical animal, but many historical sources describe unicorns as they were real, including Gaius Julius Caesar (Gallic Wars, 6:26). Unicorn is known as a symbol of Purity, Freedom, Boldness, Pride, Intelligence, Alchemy, Wonder and Healing powers. Popularity of this noble creature in ancient and medieval cultures can be explained by its untamed spirit and purity. The Unicorn's symbolism became especially popular in European heraldry of many noble houses. An image of Unicorn used as a blessing to succeed in any pure-heart desires and be invisible to evil eyes. Each statue is made by 3D printing process of UV-cured non-brittle expensive resin. The whole process of 3D-printing can take up to 16 hours. Then it's painted in black primer with a silver/gold metallic compound imitating the look of an antique silver/gold statue of the vintage gothic style. And finally coated with protective lacquer. For the Black option, the statue is finished in black primer without silver or gold metallic wax. 3D printed models may have high level of intricate details and geometry that's impossible to achieve in mass production processes.
