Madame Pele is the shapeshifter goddess of volcanos, fire, wind and lightning. She is the creator and protector of the Hawaiian islands, "She who shapes the sacred land". Legend says: Pele was in exile from Tahiti relentlessly chased by her sister Namaka, and found her home and sanctuary in the beautiful Hawaiian islands.
Each statue is made by 3D printing process of UV-cured non-brittle expensive resin. The whole process of 3D-printing can take up to 16 hours. Then it's painted in black primer with a silver/gold metallic compound imitating the look of an antique silver/gold statue of the vintage gothic style. And finally coated with protective lacquer. For the Black option, the statue is finished in black primer without silver or gold metallic wax. 3D printed models may have high level of intricate details and geometry that's impossible to achieve in mass production processes.
